G.WIZ FIFTH ANNUAL BUTTERFLY BALL DAZZLES GUESTS

About 200 museum supporters attended the Fifth Annual Butterfly Ball black-tie gala held at G.WIZ, The Science Museum, on March 8, 2008, where guests dined on Egyptian-themed cuisine prepared by Michael’s on East, enjoyed beverages provided by Gold Coast Eagle Distributing/The Saputo Family, and danced to Mainstream. There were an abundance of silent auction items, and the live auction included trips to Bali Hai, Italy, Egypt, and China. Don Blivas, G.WIZ board director, matched dollars raised to sponsor scholarships for children who might not otherwise have the opportunity to attend upcoming G.WIZ summer camp programs.

The awe-inspiring King Tutankhamun exhibition was open for guest viewing, and the dining area glittered with a festive gold and blue color scheme that included pyramid centerpieces and butterfly decorations.

Marcy Gilroy chaired this year’s event, and Gerri Aaron was the Honorary Chairperson. Bruce Wertheimer and Irving Naiditch, G.WIZ Co-Presidents, were busy greeting and thanking attendees for their support.
